пол. психологическое определение политической власти (психологическая интерпретация власти, исходя из ее бихевиористского понимания как поведения реальных индивидов, стремится раскрыть субъективную мотивацию этого поведения, истоки власти, коренящиеся в сознании и подсознании людей; одно из виднейших направлений этого рода — психоанализ; он трактует стремление к власти как проявление, сублимацию подавленного либидо, представляющего собой подверженное трансформации влечение преимущественно сексуального характера (Зигмунд Фрейд) или же психическую энергию вообще (Карл Густав Юнг); стремление к власти и особенно обладание ею выполняют функцию субъективной компенсации физической или духовной неполноценности; власть возникает как взаимодействие воли к ней — одних и готовности к подчинению, "добровольному рабству" — других; как считал Фрейд, в психике человека имеются структуры, делающие его предрасположенным к предпочтению рабства свободе ради личной защищенности и успокоения; различные психоаналитики расходятся в объяснении причин психологического подчинения; одни (С. Московиси, Б. Эдельман) видят их в своего рода гипнотическом внушении, существующем во взаимоотношениях вождя и толпы, другие же (Ж. Лакан) — в особой восприимчивости подсознания человека к символам, выражаемым в языке)
